Ohayou Gozaimasu! HSA students practiced showing their PRIDE and practiced respecting diversity in an unforgettable way. Japanese drums, culture, and phrases were introduced by One World Taiko, a professional Japanese drum ensemble, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. These performers energized our school with their heart pounding beats, dynamic movement, and rhythmic grooves! Students learned the Japanese words for drum (taiko), thank you (arigatou), good morning (ohayou gozaimasu), goodbye (Sayonara), and many more. Four lucky students were chosen to learn the rhythm and stance of a song, and performed alongside the professionals. The high-energy crowd support and participation made this was an unforgettable assembly for all students and staff. Sayonara!
